Application, Payment, and Refund Policy


International Applicants

 

Individuals

To be able to enroll in Teacher Training Courses at SILC, prospective participants must complete the TEFL Certificate Program application form, which also includes a housing application so that they can request housing at the time of application, submit a copy of their valid passport, and provide proof of financial support for the intended duration of their program. Costs for tuition, fees, and health insurance are listed on the website. Estimated costs of housing, books, and monthly personal expenses are also provided. SILC currently does not have an application deadline. Admission for the program must be within sufficient time to process and acquire F-1 visas or to process a transfer.

Payment and Refund policy for the Teacher Training Courses for international applicants is as follows:

International individual Teacher Training Course participants must pay tuition and fees by the first day of the program. Cancellation of the program prior to its start of the program will result in a full refund of tuition and student fees paid to date. Tuition Refunds during the first week will be 70%.  No refunds will be given after the 5th day of classes.  Application and student fees are non-refundable after the start of the program.  Insurance fee refunds are based upon the insurance company terms and may not be refundable in the case of short term programs.  If any refunds must be paid by wire transfer or credit cards a $50 cancellation fee will apply.

Domestic Applicants

Application and educational records must be submitted accompanied by the application fee.  Application fees are non-refundable.

Payment Refund policy for the domestic applicants is as follows:
